Pressure losses in three-leg pipe junctions: dividing flows.
Abstract:
ESDU 73022 gives graphical data, derived by correlating results from a wide range of experimental sources, for the pressure loss through any three-leg planar junction with dividing flow running full. The pipes may be of circular cross-section or of rectangular cross-section with length/width ratios between 1/2 and 2. The data apply to the single-phase flow of liquids, or of gases at low speeds. The accuracy of the prediction is assessed.Indexed under:
