ESDU 71027
Endurance of high strength steels (in bending).
Abstract:
ESDU 71027 presents the results of approximately 1100 fatigue tests on plain and notched specimens (with notch stress concentration factors in the range of 1 to 3.2) as a basis for endurance curves for various types of high strength steel: 1% Cr-Mo, 3% Cr-Mo, 1% Ni-Cr-Mo, 2% Ni-Cr-Mo, martensitic stainless, precipitation hardening martensitic stainless, austenitic stainless and maraging steels. The low alloy steels are also correlated to show the general effect of the material tensile strength on the endurance curves.Indexed under:
- Austenitic Stainless Steels
- High Tensile Low Alloy Steels
- Maraging Steels
- Martensitic Stainless Steels
- Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels
