Abstract:

A scheme to estimate the exact centre frequency, the lower and upper band limits of a system of filters (base-two system) is presented for different values of the reciprocal of the bandwidth designator. Emphasis is placed on octave and one-third octave filters. Approximate centre frequencies (base-ten system) and band limits are also available
